Do you have what it takes to be an AMS Student Assistant?
We are looking for dependable undergraduate and graduate student members to work directly with AMS staff at the AMS Annual Meeting in Houston, Texas. Students must be in attendance for the entire week, and may be required to assist full days during the conference. Students who are presenting will be scheduled around their sessions. Student Assistants will be provided with hotel accommodations (rooms are shared at the discretion of AMS staff but with an option for roommate request), meeting registration (short courses not included), and a stipend which will be provided after the meeting. Travel costs are not covered under this program. When not working, students can network, attend sessions, and visit the exhibit area. Student wishing to apply for a position must recognize the importance of showing up for assigned shifts and be committed to working the entire week of the Annual Meeting
Eligibility
Available to active 2025 AMS student members who are undergraduate and graduate students. If you are not a student member, apply now for full year 2025. Be sure to apply for membership before the September 12th program deadline. Learn more about AMS membership.
Application Process
Interested students must complete the online application form. Use the application link below and log in using your AMS Profile credentials, then select 'AMS Annual Meeting Student Assistant Program' from the choices available. Your academic advisor will receive an email for validation of your good standing once the application is submitted. Applications are reviewed after the deadline date. All candidates are notified by email of their standing.
